CCC Media LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States, operates Tailored Song. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it. In short: we collect what we need to write and deliver your song, we do not sell your personal information, and payments are handled by a secure third-party processor.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

• Quiz answers — who the song is for, the occasion, how long you've known them, the music style, the free-text detail you write, the recipient's first name, your first name, and the feeling you want the song to land.
• Contact details — the email address you provide at checkout, so we can deliver the song and handle support.
• Payment information — collected and processed directly by Stripe. We receive a confirmation, the last four digits of the card and the billing name, never your full card number.
• Support correspondence — anything you send us by email.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — pages viewed, quiz steps completed, whether the preview was played, buttons clicked.
• Device and technical data — IP address, browser type, operating system, screen size, referring URL.
• Advertising identifiers — click IDs and campaign parameters (for example utm_source, fbclid, gclid) passed from the ad you clicked.
• Local storage — your quiz answers are stored in your own browser so the pages after the quiz can be personalised and so you don't lose your place.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To write, produce and deliver your song.
• To process payments and issue refunds.
• To send transactional email — order confirmation, delivery, support replies.
• To provide customer support and resolve problems with an order.
• To measure and improve the Service and our advertising.
• To prevent fraud, abuse and chargebacks.
• To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share the content of your song or your quiz answers with anyone except the service providers below who help us produce and deliver it.

3. Who We Share It With

We use the following processors, each contractually bound to protect your data:

We may also disclose information:

• when required by law, subpoena or a valid government request;
• to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, including chargeback disputes;
• to a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, browser local storage and advertising pixels to:

• remember your quiz answers between pages;
• understand how people move through the site;
• measure which ads lead to purchases.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you clear local storage mid-funnel your quiz answers will be lost and you'll need to answer again. Blocking advertising cookies does not stop you from buying.

5. Data Security

Traffic to and from the site is encrypted with SSL/TLS. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe under PCI-DSS compliance and never touch our systems. Access to order data is restricted to people who need it to fulfil or support your order.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

• Order and song data — kept while your order is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can resend your song or handle a dispute.
• Transaction records — retained for seven years to meet tax and accounting requirements.
• Quiz answers from unfinished quizzes — held in your own browser's local storage; you can clear them at any time from your browser settings.
• Deletion requests — processed within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to keep.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you;
• correct information that is wrong;
• delete your information;
• send you a copy of your data in a portable format;
• stop sending you marketing email.

Transactional emails about an order you placed will still be sent. To make a request, email support@tailored-song.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We respond within 30 days.

7.1 European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Our legal bases for processing are:

• Performance of a contract — to produce and deliver the song you bought;
• Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, service improvement, measuring advertising;
• Consent — for non-essential cookies and marketing email, which you can withdraw at any time;
• Legal obligation — tax and accounting records.

7.2 Canada

Under PIPEDA and provincial laws including Quebec Law 25, Alberta PIPA and BC PIPA, you may access and correct your information, withdraw consent, and complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Your data is transferred to and processed in the United States.

7.3 Australia

Under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles you may access and correct your information and complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Your data is stored in the United States.

7.4 New Zealand

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may access and correct your information and complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

7.5 United States — state privacy rights

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas or another state with comparable law, you may request to know what we collect, request deletion, and opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. Our use of advertising pixels may constitute "sharing" under those laws. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. To opt out, email us with "Do Not Share My Information" in the subject line, or use your browser's Global Privacy Control signal. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States and your information is processed there. If you are outside the US, you consent to that transfer by using the Service. For transfers from the EEA and UK we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses with our processors.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has given us information, email us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Third-Party Links

Our checkout is hosted by Stripe and our pages may link to other sites. Those services have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date will change, and if the change is significant we will make it clear on the site. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept it.
